Josh Lewis, PhD
Partner
Josh is a former biomedical researcher and diligent search consultant. He has extensive experience leading senior searches within the higher education and academic medicine sectors. Josh’s background and expertise give him a keen understanding of the institutions we serve, as well as the challenges and opportunities they face. He has a long track record of successful client partnerships.
Prior to cofounding Lewis Ryan Executive Search, Josh served as a Principal with Odgers Berndtson, a top 10 global firm where he led searches in higher education, healthcare services, and life sciences.
Josh holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology from Emory University as well as a bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Georgia.
Maureen Ryan Fogarty
Partner
Maureen is a former international health system executive and experienced talent consultant. She works with voluntary boards and executive leadership teams to create talent strategies that align with their organizations’ business plans.
Prior to cofounding Lewis Ryan Executive Search, Maureen held senior partner roles with Korn Ferry and Odgers Berndtson. She has a distinguished track record recruiting executives to leadership roles in healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, she developed partnerships with clients to optimize their pipeline for Board diversity and governance best practices.
Earlier in her career, Maureen was a hospital administrator who created patient experience and advocacy programs in organizations that included MedStar Health, Johns Hopkins Health System, and MelroseWakefield Healthcare. She also led physician recruitment, retention, and practice acquisitions.
Maureen holds a BA in Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University and studied law at Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. She is a former Board member of the Leapfrog Group and a national advocate for hospital and patient safety.
